Join us at ChurchKey on Wednesday, December 6th as we once again host one of our favorite breweries, Prairie Artisan Ales. For the 2nd straight year, our good friends from Oklahoma have sent us a massive collection of bottles and drafts, totaling 42 different beers in all!
The evening’s list includes 7 beers that have never been served outside their brewery! Making their market debuts are Cinnamon Pecan BOMB!, Bromance, Booyeah, Holiday Party, A/S/L, Hulk Hands and OH to OK.
Other notables include Pirate Paradise 2016, Bourbon Paradise, Pe-Kan and 15 different versions of the inimitable Prairie BOMB!
Last but not least, we will be debuting a Homemade Tots brand new collaboration beer between Prairie and our sister brewery, Bluejacket. Don’t miss this hazy, juicy hop bomb brewed right here in DC.
There is no admission fee for this event. All Prairie beers will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. tasting pours.
Additionally, Birch & Barley will feature Chef Bill Williamson’s 6-course tasting menu paired exclusively with Prairie beers!

The evening’s list includes some truly exceptional Prairie beers, including Pe-Kan, Hulk Hands and Homemade Tots, a brand new collaboration between Prairie and Bluejacket.
Not to be outdone, our upstairs bar, ChurchKey, will feature 42 different bottles & drafts from Prairie.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14TH @ 4 PM
Join us on Thursday, December 14th for ChurchKey’s 7th Annual Holiday Tap Takeover. On this night, we’ll pour a whopping 43 different beers, including 40 festive drafts, 2 specialty casks and 1 Franconian gravity keg!
ChurchKey's Holiday Tap Takeover doubles as a canned food drive to help relieve hunger. This year we are once again teaming up with Martha's Table, our neighbors on 14th Street who have been helping those in need for over 35 years!
Beginning right when we open at 4 pm, we invite our guests to bring in a canned good, or make a cash donation, and receive a free 4 Oz. Taster of a holiday beer on draft or cask (priced at $5 or less).
For this event, the finest American, Belgian and English winter ales will sit side-by-side with some incredible cold-weather craft rarities sourced from Canada, Norway, France, Belgium, England, Germany and Denmark! Notables include De Dolle Stille Nacht, Mikkeller To From Via, The Bruery 10 Lords-A-Leaping and Dieu du Ciel! Solstice D’Hiver.

As Christmas nears, we invite you to get in the holiday spirit with one of our favorite winter brews, Hardywood Park Gingerbread Stout. On this night, ChurchKey will pour no less than 11 beers from our friends at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, including 8 different versions of Gingerbread Stout.
Headlining the list are Apple Brandy Barrel GBS, rarely seen outside the brewery; and Double Barrel GBS, aged four months in Caribbean dark rum barrels, then an additional four months in Bourbon barrels.
In addition to Apple Brandy Barrel GBS and Double Barrel GBS, we’ll also pour Bourbon Barrel GBS and Kentucky Christmas, plus multiple vintages of Gingerbread Stout and Christmas Morning.
